Reflux in older children

DD is 9 and had very bad reflux as a baby, was assessed in hospital and was on umpteen different medicines. Once she was over 1 and could walk it got better. However, over the last few months it seems to have come back in some form. She complains about feeling sick, and often some of her food comes back up into her mouth. Seems to happen more after dairy products/cheese.

Has anybody else experienced this? Haven't gone to the doctor's yet because I guess there's not a lot they can do.

I would take her to the GP. It sounds like she could have a silent reflux, or even a dairy intolerance. I'm not an expert but i would definately get this checked out.
If it's reflux, symptoms can be eased with medication such as ranitidine and domperidone, omeprazol etc (probably the same meds she was on as a baby). So it's worth making that appointment. Good luck.

Thanks UAGT I think I will have to go to the GP, she was sick last night and also earlier this week at school.

She did have ranitidine as a baby, then the doctor phoned and said they were withdrawing it because it had been associated with heart failure! So I definitely don't want her on that again.
