Strange poo - comes out the way it goes in!

Honestly. I could tell what DD2 has eaten (nearly) from the contents of the potty. Age 3.5. Just wondered if anyone else has kids that do this? If she's had chicken for tea and scrambled eggs with ketchup for brekky, her 11am poo will be pale yellow/brown to halfway down (sorry this was bound to be graphic) then go pink (she likes ketchup) for the second half - joined together like squished plasticine tubes. I think Gillian McKeith would approve of consistency/texture, but is this normal??? DD1 has always had uniform colour no 2's.
Once 6 mo's ago found trace of blood on a poo but as DD2 was so perky and had had to strain a bit to get it out, I put it down to one of those things. Never happened since.

3.5y??? get her pooing in the toilet and just flush! I could understand the obsession with a baby, but 3.5yo??

CS that's not helpful is it? Afaik it could be a symptom of coeliac disease ie she is intolerant of wheat. gluten etc etc

Not an expert but no this is not right.

You need to take her to the GP.

I think that if she had coeliac disease then typically the stools would be pale and fatty and horribly smelly.

As Flight says take her to the GP if you are concerned. It may be that she doesn't chew her food very well but a doctor really needs to advise you. imo.

She's not intolerant as far as I've noticed but might mention to GP - though seems in perfect health in all other respects and poo is normal in appearance apart from in/out effect.
Chasingsquirrels she's not tall enough to sit on the loo and our 'step' is usually by the sink - using the loo (with child seat) is too much of a rigmarole at the mo'.
