10mth old projectile vomiting only at bedtime for the last 6 evenings?

Hello wise mnetters. As the title says, my 10mth old has been projectile vomiting every evening for the last week. He seems fine all day, easts fairly well (has had maybe a slightly smaller appetite than usual) and then as we're trying to put him down for the night he's sick everywhere...and I really mean sick, every last morsel that he's eaten/drank during the day seems to come up

He's been getting really upset at bedtime and at first I thought he was crying himself sick, but the other night at his gran's house, when he was having his tea later than normal, he was sick in his highchair.

After he's been sick he's happy as larry, will usually take more milk and then sleep through the night.

We took him to the gp today who didn't think it was a dairy thing or re-emergence of reflux, and just advised to stop giving any solids for two days and just to give liquids. The thing is poor ds was absolutely ravenous at dinner time tonight and was seriously not impressed at the lack of food. I ended up caving in and giving him some bread, rice cake and runny readybrek

Any ideas what it might be and what to do? He did have quite a bad cold before this all started so not sure if that could be related?

Any help would be appreciated!!

does he have a cold or anything? Found that my dd2 if she had a slight cold used to projectile vomit after her bed time milk as it was the lying down afterwards that made it happen. She has only just stopped doing this at just turned 2. I used to have to water down her milk for bed so it was as thick.

Thanks Nemo. He did have quite a bad cold the week before the vomiting started, but as the cold got better the vomiting started I wondered at first if it was all the phlegm making him sick, but the cold has gradually gone and he's still being sick.

There was another thread similar to this the other day, AND we have had the same thing here a couple of times with DS2 - I was convinced there was something serious wrong with him. It turned out to be the D&V viruses that he has suffered with recently, they seem to make him slightly intolerant to milk. Try leaving out dairy for 48 hours and see if that helps.

I think it took 2 weeks for DS2 to get back to normal.
