Hi quick question really worried over my 3 year old teeth. I'm having real problems getting her to clean the top teeth. her bottom are sparkling but the top. but one tooth looks like it's going to go black and white spots over few next to them.
please help i'm really worried. she dont eat lot of sugary sweets or drinks.maybe she have had bump. I will make a dentist appointment for her but I can't yet. On wednesdays at doctors found out she has scarlet fever and full blown tonsilitis. her antibiotics really strong since this her tooth is changing. her mouth too sore to get tooth brush in. I know scarlet fever is rare I have no idea how she caught it although there is another boy in her nursery who had it few weeks before her, it's highly contagious. got to wait until she is entirley better before getting her to dentist. if she had tooth taken out would she look that awful i'm worried what people will think if she has lots teeth out. once she is better only option is headlock. i'm so stressed over this.
where is lone parents forum on here I'm new to this site and cant find iT LOL
sorry if I don't make sense thanks for any advice though x

My Dd is a nightmare with teeth brushing too. I've taken to giving her an electric one and she seems to be a bit more willing and likes to do it herself.

Some antibiotics do discolour the teeth, but if I remember rightly, it only affects the teeth that are still below the gumline(adult teeth, not out yet). I know this because it happened to mine.
Which toothpaste does she use? it should be a childs one with 1000ppm(according to a visiting dentist at post natal group)and no more(too much can cause problems too), but I'd be talking to your own dentist tbh, see what your dentist says/recommends when you can get her there and then go from there.
I know it's hard to do, but try not to worry too much atm as you can only deal with the scarlet fever for now.
