Can my fully breastfed 3 month old get measles if I haven't had measles myself but have been vacinnated?

Keep on reading loads of conflicting stuff about how passive immunity is only passed on if you've actually had measles yourself, and it looks like dd1 has been exposed to the virus. Am fine with her getting it, would rather that she developed natural immunity but worried about little dd2 who is just 3 months old.

Has your dd1 not been vaccinated? If she has, then she shouldn't catch it, in which case, your dd2 should be fine as well.

I don't think you can rely on breastfeeding to protect your dd2 (my dd2 caught chicken pox despite me breastfeeding her).

herbietea - I think that's the problem in the UK - you need a certain percentage of the population to be vaccinated, otherwise there is a risk of catching measles, even if you have been vaccinated, and it's a particular risk to the more vulnerable members of society such as babies.
