DS is particularly 'vomity' today - with temp and tears - wondering if there is a bug going round (west London)

I am in Suffolk and ds has been vomiting for a couple of days now
he is now asleep on the sofa. Its so hard cos he is hungry, but he brings it all back up

i was just about to post about similar - my dd age 6 out of the blue was sick all over herself inthe car today (it was a 2 min journey) - we had a meat free sunday dinner so i cant blame me undercooking a chicken and she was fine up until then. She hasnt had anything to eat since and said feels ok (the incident was at 2pm) - i am now in waiting for more or for ds to start.....

We've all had it here.

I've seen advice on here to give sugary drinks like ribena to keep them hydrated. why is ribena better than just water? I was a bit worried that the blackcurrant might just make him bring it all up again.

My son is the same today.

Doctor advised ribena and flat coke as they are 2 of the most sugary drinks you can get but DS won't touch them. Had to give in and give him some milk. Hardly ideal with a vomiting bug but i'm hoping even though he's fetched most of it back up some of it will have stayed down and hopefully keep him hydrated.

He's got a temperature now so just given him a warm bath and he's back on the sofa in his pjs with a blanket over him and have opened the windows and got a fan on the other side of the room. The doctor said not to undress him or put the fan directly on him as it could have the opposite effect and his body would try and compensate for the drop in temperature and actually make his temperature higher.
