Smelly breath - help!

My LO aged 4yrs has had smelly breath for the last few weeks.

She is very good at cleaning her teeth twice a day, and we supervised, so I know it isn't lack of teeth cleaning hygine.

She drinks regularly, so don't think it's lack of fluid.

Can anyone advise on what we can do? Not sure if I would need to take her to see dentist or doctor to get further advice if it persists?

Any chance she could have shoved something up her nose? (Something that could be rotting away nicely)

Sinus problems cause bad breath in children

mine too! I thought it was down to the fact she been a bit under the weather with virus. She has white coating on tongue but has not complained about sore throat etc. Will watch this thread with interest...

Just looked at LO - she got white coating tongue - could this mean something?!

Insists she hasn't shove anything up her nose - believe her as she doesn't tend to do stuff like this.

How would I know if this is a sinus problem? She sleeps with mouth close, but sometimes snores quietly!

I had this problem with my DC as well and have found that probiotic (sp?) deinks have helped - the munch bunch ones - no more BB.

My DCs only seem to have bad breath when they are ill. Maybe a quick check up at the dentist/doctor to put your mind at rest?
