Posted in behaviour and development but am posting here too...
DS, who is 14 months, started walking about four weeks ago. I know that if he is walking there can't be anything that bad wrong with his feet but he walks with his toes curled under him a lot of the time and I can't get many styles of shoes onto his feet except those that undo with velcro all the way along the top and these are expanded almost to the limit.
I also can't get any wellies or boots onto him unless they are three sizes too big.
Has anyone else experienced this?
The main reason I am worried is that my brother has bipedal talipes (sp?) i.e. club foot on both feet and I am worried that DS might have a minor foot deformity. At the moment I am inclined to wait and see for a few weeks before going to see the doctor but wondered if anyone out there has had a similar experience that turned out to need medical intervention to correct? If so, I would love to hear from you. TIA.
