MMR!

Is it possible that the government has an all in one MMR jab to save money? Just a thought! Imagine the cost for separate injections - 6 doses instead of 2 - so 6 lots of paperwork to complete - 6 times the amount of nurses wages needed!

Separate jabs privately £310 for my ds4.

Lots of money we will struggle to find.

Well worth it though (we have 2 autistic children).

You don't seriously believe that, do you, VCT?

silverfrog · 14/01/2009 11:41

I'd like to know why the government is doggedly insisting on keeping the MMR...

If not cost, then why?

Pinkjenny · 14/01/2009 11:42

I'm paying for singles too. £335.

CoteDAzur · 14/01/2009 11:43

Of course, cost is a factor, as with all decisions involving the whole population.

Hiya NAB, just thought I would see what everyone's thoughts were on this! My DS1 is on the spectrum and I'm very reluctant for DS2 to have all in one jab, he had a reaction to his last injection too!
The government do seem pretty insistant on the MMR being safe - almost too insistant. Mistakes have been made before!

My DH feels if the Government is so show the MMR is safe, why not over insurance/compensation to anyone whose child is damaged byt it.

We are single jabbing all ours as our eldest has reacted to previous jabs.

Clarissimo · 14/01/2009 15:53

Nobodies going to insure them for it in the light of the American giorl where the vaccine was found to have damaged her (caused her autism), and the Government must know the risk is far too big now.

I read the USA are funding more research, I hope it finds something thre because a reason is better than none in my book.

Interesting article on possible reasons for the increase in autism

can anyone remember what year the mmr was introduced? Just wondering if the behaviour of children today has been influenced by the injection, or are we simply on a slippery slope of devolution? Hmmmmmmmm!
