DD had a long lingering cough, took a turn for worse with high temp and put on amoxycillin. Did nothing and put on clarithromycin. Cleared up and finished course but now cough seems to be coming back. Temp seems fine, but wondering whether to head back to GP or not.

Why dont you think about going to a homeopath, a homeopath cured my son after he reacted very badly to the MMR, My son also had febrile convulsions, as did my brother. My son also had lots of ear infections etc.

Dont worry she will get better.

Could a homeopath help with the febrile convulsions.

she is doing much better today.

If it's 4 days since you saw the docs, the virus could have allowed a bacterial infection to develop that would need ABs- so I would call out-of-hrs docs and at least talk to them on the phone. Your poor DD she really is going through the mill- as are you- many hugs xxx

posting in answer to the OP question.

We have given our daughter the honey and lemon linctis which isnt really a cough med more like a linctis.

also i was told regular nurofen as this brings the inflamation down which will help ease the coughing.

Hope little one is better soon.
