DD is 16 months and has just got over a tummy bug. It's left her with terrible bottom wind which is causing her a lot of pain. It's affecting her mood and sleep and making us all miserable. Does anyone know anything I can give her that will ease her discomfort? I did a tummy massage last night and I could feel tons of bubbles popping under my hand.

have you tried gripe water?

I was thinking about that, I wasn't sure if it'd work on an older baby though. Do you think it's worth giving it a go?

I would ... it can't do any harm can it?

Just give her the full dose and see what happens. If it is suitable for a little one then I am sure it will be fine for a 16 month old. Infacol was the other thing I used when ds was tiny ... not sure I have given him anything since he was a baby though!

Thanks I'll pick some up today. She's never suffered with wind before so I haven't got anything in. The tummy massage worked well but I can't stand over her all the time rubbing her tummy

I am completely making this up (ie have no experience with a toddler to go on) but when I am uncomfortable in the same way ginger tea really helps

Hmmm, could pick some ginger tea up too. I'm willing to try anything to rid me of this whingy demon!
