At what age should I start taking my DD to the dentist?

She's 20 months old and has a few teeth. The last time I took her with me, she completely freaked out and I couldn't finish my appointment, so I don't want to do that again.

So, I'd like to make an appointment for her, but is she too young?

i just booked my DD and DS in together for next May when i next have check up. DD will be 3 and DS will be 20 months. They said they'd only get DS to sit in the chair, not look at his teeth?!

I've been taking mine since they were born so they could get used to the smells and noises.

I think they first checked their teeth at 3. DS1 & 2 are perfectly happy going to the dentist now (unlike me who hates it )

We take Tom every time we go, but they only put a finger in his mouth the first time they checked him at 19 months. Last time, they sat him on the chair with daddy and had a quick look in the gobbo!

Our dentist sees them from 3 but are happy to let mine have a sit in the chair at each of my appointments to get them used to it.

I took mine along for all my own checkups so they have been going from about 6 months old. DD didnt start opening her mouth properly till she was about 4 though!! DS was a star and opened his mouth to let the dentist have a look at about 20 months.
