Yes, be prepared, as soon as you go out, he will do one which goes down his legs and up his back. My oldest managed to squirt poo up to his collar on one occassion. As long as he doesn't seem uncomfortable I wouldn't worry.

Yes, and quite possibly all over what you are wearing, especially if it's new.

oh yes - about the same age DS1 went onto weekly poos...........I could almost set my watch by them (well exH could) as he would do it at 5pm on Friday - the day that exH finished worked at 4.30 so had just arrived home - so daddy always got the pleasure of the mass clean up operation

Don't worry, as with the others, happened with both my DDs. DD2 still very sporadic but DD1 (2.7) extremely regular - every night just after we've put her down we hear a little voice from upstairs announcing she needs a 'smelly pip' - not sure where she picked that up from, no euphemisms in our house!

Same here, My DS2 is 7 months and still only BFing. He went from once a day till he was 2 months and then it went to once a week. We have had it going to 10 days at least three times. I am used to it now but its still worrying. I have never taken him to the GP or HV about it as the poos have always been soft when they came.

He does get bloated if he goes longer than 7 days, I put him in a nice warm bath that covers his tummy and rub it gently in circles while in the bath. Then I give him a very long feed and wait for the trumps to start. Then I put him on my knee and do like a row the boat action (which makes him laugh) then usually he blows off straight away or soon after. Its recongnising the bloating and the windy trump means that its coming.

grin

I always look up this page when I am feeling worried.
