I always sit dd in bath apply conditioner and pick the eggs out by hand, which i know is effective, but what's the best chemist buy in case i need to do me?

is it hedrin or somehting?

I've found them all useless but think that's because my kids' school is full of infested children whose parents have given up. Have you got a nitty gritty comb? Essential tool, imo. Also- read on here that blow drying kills 90% + of the little gits and have been blow drying the boys' hair relentlessly ever since. There is definitely a decrease.. I hope!

no haven't got the ng comb, bit pricey , altho i do recall a mnetter saying you could get them on prescribtion. I go thru with my nails and pick the nits off. Poor dd she hates it!

You can get a nitty gritty comb on prescription. I bought mine before finding this out but told a friend. She just caled her doctors, the receptionist had the GP make out a prescription and she just had to pop in to collect it.

hmm worth a shot then isn't it. i might go in there then.

any ideas on the best treatment for me, seeing as i can't 'see' the blighters.
