Bumping for you.

If she was lethargic, sleepy, and getting dehydrated.

My dd had something like this a few months ago. It went on for a week, off and on sickness and seemed well enough / was eating in between the vomitting. In the end I did call the doctor out of hours service and they basically said not to bring her in unless she was lethargic and showed signs of dehydration. They didn't seem too worried.

thanks,
she was sick again this morning and is off food, but keep bm down now at least.
going to take her in if shes still not better tomorrow, as shes starting to seem tired and isn't drinking as much as she should - threw up water this morning that she'd just drunk

if nothing was staying down after 24 hours. But if something is staying down keep her at home. The doctor and the peple at the surgery don't want to catch it1
Its dehydration thats the thing to watch out for. Is she still having wet nappies?
dd ended up on a drip for dehydration but then she kept nothing down at all.

Just sympathy, we've had this in our household for a week. DS is 11 1/2 months, DH also has it. We took DS to the docs yesterday as he'd still not shaken it off since last Tuesday. Doc said to avoid formula, but I've been giving him small amounts rather than his normal feed. Also said to use rehydration sachets.

breastmilk is perfect, keep going with that Ds2 had D&V so badly last winter he lost 2kg, I think breastfeeding was the only thing that kept him out of hospital.

When giving water only let her have tiny sips.

Wallace · 18/11/2008 19:29

Sorry, meant to say how is she this evening?

RhinestoneCowgirl · 18/11/2008 19:33

Breastfeeding definitely the best thing, and will be comforting for DD too. Keep an eye on wet nappies, as others have said it's dehydration that's the main thing to worry about.

Just keep offering bf regularly and little sips of water. Hope she feels better soon
