Hello. Right, I will start from the beguinning.

about 2 weeks ago a lump appeared on DD peraniam (sorry no Idea how to spell it)

Left it for a bit as I posted on here and everybody thought it was just a sore bit and would go away.

Then a few days later she got constipation, obviously not helping matters. Now very painful to pass stools and change nappy. Lump got slightly bigger and more sore.

Took her to the doctors last tuesday, who said she probably had a very small teap in her lining and where her legs had rubbed together it had irritated it and made it sore. Nothing to worry about and gave us a cream. Said if doesn't clear up in 2 weeks then to come back.

Tried cream when we got home and it made it worse. We did try it a second time to make sure it wasn't just bad timing and both times DD screamed for an hour after applying and ended up with a sore bum everywhere the cream had touched so we stopped using it.

Everything else stayed the same. Still sore. Stil constipated until about an hour ago when she did a big loose leaky nappy but it had blood in it and there was blood when I wiped.

Anybody know if we should worry? We are meant to be going out tonight for our first proper night out away from her as it is DHs birthday but we have never really left her before.

Sorry I shouldn't say lump. It isn't a lump so much. But it is hard to describe. It is like a bit of skin or somthing hanging down that shouldn't be there. At first we thought it was a pile but doctor said it is definatly not (i have never had them so don't know).

Maybe it was a pile that has now burst? Am not sure exactly what they are though. Was it gushy blood or just a bit?

MostlyReindeer · 15/11/2008 18:24

Ah ok!

chloemegjess · 15/11/2008 18:26

It was like a stream of blood in the runny poo, and then more when I wiped.

And it was definatly blood. Not red food! lol

Oh poor her and poor you. Sorry no advice apart from def go back to docs. Hope it gets better soon.

Thank you. We are still going to go out tonight as she should be in bed anyway. I just hope it is something simple that can be sorted easily.

My doctor thinks I take DD in for no reason and never seems to take us seriously which really doesn't help.

Hi

My DD (9mths) has something similar I think...

I took her to docs as I thought she had a food intolerance lots of screaming/straining after eating (dairy in particular)

We were referred to a pead who we saw yesterday and he said she has skin tags near anus and they are really sore when she strains. Like piles I guess. Probably caused by her poo being to hard/constipation. He has prescribed lactulose to soften poo then the tags will heal. (Having tests to see if food intolerance has caused the hard poo).

Maybe your DD has something similar and a tag has torn?

(Not suggesting your DD has intolerance BTW - just the skin tasgs maybe...)

GP job I think. Dd 1 had similar, was a. Irtymark that eventually disappeared- get it checked out tho x

Thanks for the help. GP did say it could be a skin tag actually thinking about it.
