Un descendid (sp?) testicle

my ds2 has had the poeration 1 week and 2 days ago, sadly they found nothing looks like he didnt have a testicle on his left side.

We were out the same dayand he was cut open 3 times
1)to see if there was anying in his groin area
2)in his bellybutton for a camera to go through and see if they could find the actual testical attached to something else
3)in the groin area again to put an instrument in to lift his organs to see if there was anything under his organas.

he has dissolvable stitches and we were told not to bath him for 5 days. the stithes can take up to 6 weeks to dissolve and to keep bath time very short with no bubbles.

So do we need to do this for the whole 6 weeks as he loves his bubbles and bath time.

Thankyou

Did you get a phone number to ring with any queries on your discharge paperwork? We didn't bath DS1 after his for a couple of days, but certainly not 6 weeks. However, his op went as planned. Very for your poor DS2. Is the other testicle as normal?

yes the other testicle is ok thankfully and the doctor has said its a bit big for his age but that is due to the rrom it has to grow.

I have a number on the paperwork but feel a bit of a dimwit asking them the question

Ring them if you're worried or have a question, that's what they're there for, and yours is not the usual scenario.

DS 1 had the op on Monday night - we were told no bubbles as they dry the skin out and can make it itch(even the 'gentle' ones!)which the scars are going to as they heal anyway. My boy is 11 so at least he understands the restrictions he's got at the moment - no bike riding or PE for two months!

Yes, I've got a 4yr old who loves Ben 10
