What to do with ill toddler?

Just had a call from nursery to say DD (17 month) not eaten any breakfast or lunch and just gone to sleep. She has a cough but no temperature.

I'm going to pick her up from nursery and bring her back for some cuddling.
Heating is off but shall I put it on when we get in? Is this best thing for her chesty cough?
I know, stupid question, but I'm a believer in fresh air when ill but maybe a bit too much to go and sit on terrace?

CAn;t think straight any suggests welcome.
Also, apart from cuddling, what else might DD want to do?

Reading / looking at books?
Singing nursery rhymes together ont eh sofa?

I am a big fresh air person, but i think warmth and snuggles would be better under these circumstances!

Why don't you just snuggle up,. keep her warm and rested, plenty of fluids and see how she goes?

I'm currently at home on the sofa with my ill 3 yr old. He's enjoying plenty of CBeebies (I know your DD might be a bit young for that!) and time on the sofa with mum and a big cosy blanket.

Or if you're bored - wrap her up really well and go for a walk with the buggy? She might just nod off.

I' sure she'll be fine. Just keep an eye on her temperature and whether or not she develops any other symptoms - headache etc.

Thanks.
In the end she nodded off in the buggy on way back from nursery, all toasty in her buggy snuggle while I suffered in the rain
