Haliborange Omega-3 Fish Oil for Kids vs. Equazen Eye Q Liquid Citrus

I've been looking into Fish Oils for DD2 as there's a remote possibility that it might help her in a few ways ... but am always a big ditherer when it comes to actually buying things ... so I thought I'd pop on here and see if anyone had an opinion as to whether there was any difference (apart from price - think the Haliborange stuff is about half the price of the Eye Q stuff) between these two products.

Any thoughts/experiences very welcome.

Thank you so much.

on e bay i managed to get strawberry eyeq tablets in shop they are 22 opound for 180 i got 360 for 20.99 inc postage they were 17.99 buy now for 360 in shop it costs 22 for 180 so well worth getting them on there all new sealed boxes

and to be honest fantastic and workied quite quick i can see huge difference in my ds ASD he is playing more and is much calmer recommend them and the strawbeey chews dont taste of fish all the others were like flavoured fish

[http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Equazen-Eye-Q-Chews-2-x-180_W0QQitemZ320313602593QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item 320313602593&trkparms=72%3A1301|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&trksid=p3286.c0.m14 here]]

bit more than what i paid but hell of alot cheaper than in shop still under what you would pay for half of them in shop

sorry here

I use the Eye Q, I've tried the others but think it's the best. I use the liquid in citrus (bluerg) DC's are 7 and 10.

haliborange tasted like fish with hint of something and the amount doesnt last as long i found mine dried up in cupboard my ds thinks the chews are sweets and loves them and they will see me through for a yr for 20 pounds cant go wrong there

I bought the eye q smooths (you may need to scroll down) for dd, and she has grown to accept taking them, they were recommended by a friend who did alot of research into the easiest/most effective

I got mine in the three for two on vitamins offer in boots, i think it is on again and whichever you choose should be included

I would just check the ingredients on the haliborange as 'they' are very good at adding nasty sweetners like aspartame to stuff like this.

I always top up with multi buys for either eye-q or efalex - ds now 7 is on capsules, but did have the liquid for years

Our son has been taking these

They were recommend to use by the chiropractor he sees for his delayed learning.

The ones I mentioned are DHA free. DHA can counteract the effect of the omega 6 and 3

Tiggiwinkle · 27/10/2008 18:50

I don't think the cheaper stuff (Haliborange included) has enough of the vital ingredients in. The Eye Q, vegaepa, eskimo oil varieties all do but are more expensive.

Thank you for your messages and the links too. Will look into those just as soon as DD1 has stopped puking for the night (am on a puke break!).
