Sick baby not eating or drinking and no wee's today

DS2 has been sick a few times since mid morning. He's had nothing to eat or drink since his morning milk.
He hasnt wanted anything except a sip or two of water after being sick.

No wet nappy since first thing this morning.

Do I need to get some rehydrating stuff to mix in water for his bottle? or just leave him without until he gets hungry and then offer his usual milk (watered down)?

He is 8 months old.

I would phone nhs direct if I were you. He must be very dehydrated to have no wee all day.

When DS was the same age and was vomiting repeatedly NHS Direct told me to call them back / refer to doctor (can't remember which now) if he'd been consistently failing to keep anything down for eight hours.

Maybe call NHS Direct for advice?

If you need it, you can make rehydrating stuff out of sugar, salt and water:

one level teaspoon of salt
eight level teaspoons of sugar
one litre of boiled cooled water

I think you can add a little juice to improve the taste.

Give him water rather than milk if he is vomiting

Thanks.

He just woke up and I found some diarolyte in my medicine box so I made him up that.
He's drunk 2oz and no sickness yet so hopefully that will help hydrate him.

If he doesnt wee or drink more soon I'll call nhs direct.
