Dd 2 years, very very rosy cheeks

She has quite pale skin, and on a couple of occasions her cheeks have been really gright red. Not bright red healthy, but bright red wierd! Just little circles (almost like they are painted on like a doll)

At first I thought it might be dry skin/eczema, but they feel smooth to touch. She actually looks unwell, bright red against very pale...but she isn't!

could be slapped cheek syndrome? my dd aged 6 had this in the summer, and i thought i was the worst mother, altho had used facto 40 on beach.

Yet this syndrome does tend to just come then go after a few days, accompanied by feeling under the weather.

Not a serious one.

But it isn't a rash, it just looks flushed in 2 little rouge circles

just cold weather and body attempteing to reconcile change from outside to inside

young children have less perfect temnperature regulation so they get red faces going from outside to inside etc

Maybe a trip to the gp tho?

my dd1 had this at this age when she was teething....no idea why but her cheeks looked like i had painted them red!

my DS's cheeks go BRIGHT red when they are teething, they look they they are on fire (but not in little circles)

Can be a sign of a food intolerance. Have you noticed it happening around meal/snack times?

Both my DDs get this very quickly after eating a food they test positive for.

Ahhhhhhhh, had forgotten about teething, yes it could be that.

She is 2.3, don't some big teeth come through at this age?
