My son had hand, foot and mouth not long ago. Appeared on the hands first and didn't seem to bother him, a couple of days later it spread to his legs, feet and mouth.
He was a little grumpy and I treated it with Calpol. All disappeared after about a week.

If you're worried call NHS Direct.

Another vote for hand, foot and mouth. Contagious so could have been picked up at nursery. Gone within 10-14 days usually.

Caught whilst in incubation too, which is up to six days.... can't present very high temp. and general unwell. My dd had it and was really unwell.

If it's just her hands it could be an allergic reaction?

heartmummy · 04/10/2008 07:55

hand foot and mouth is really common in Scotland and most people accross the Uk have had it, but a very mild form and so don't even know. Pregnant women are at risk if in early or late pg, early can cause mc and later can pass it on to baby.
On the hands and feet it looks like chicken pox, little blisters, and in the mouth my dd had very large ulcers all over her tongue.

I had a rash on my palms a couple of years ago which antihisthamines got rid of in a day or do, a pharmacist friend of mine took a look and said it looked like a reaction, which is why I thought of it. But a obviously a doc will be able to give you a better idea. Hope she's OK
