Two year old keeps getting unexplained spots

My two year old has been getting these spots for 8 weeks now. Nothing changed when she started getting them so no obvious cause. GP / Walk in centre / pharmacist seen many times but don’t have any idea (ruled out molluscum and chicken pox).she doesn’t get them daily and mostly I notice them on a Friday night when she has come home from nursery (she is in nursery Thursday Friday) but she can get them other days occasionally too. They don’t itch or hurt and after a day the inflammation and white head centre goes down and they scab. We initially kept her off with chicken pox! Have tried changing washing powder, nappies, new bedding and pjs every night - the list goes on! Has anyone ever dealt with something like this before? Only in torso back top of thighs area too

Could they be flea or even bed bug bites? Could the nursery have bed bugs?!

I think bed bug bites appear in lines or clusters, a bit like how the spots appear on your DD’s tummy. Not saying that’s what they are for definite but googling some pictures they appear similar?

I see what others are saying re: bed bugs, but she'd get more on exposed skin (limbs, face, neck, back where pyjama tops may ride up) rather than predominantly on her tummy.

DD had very similar looking spots at that age (tiny pimples with redness around). I was obsessed with checking her as bed bugs are one of my worst fears but she just outgrew getting them eventually, so I imagine it was just a reaction of some sort. She didn't get as many as yours though (never more than 4-5 at a time) but they behaved similarly. They didn't itch and they disappeared quickly.

What sort of flooring does the nursary have? Many years ago we bought a house and kept getting bites on our feet and ankles - realised after a few days that the carpets left behind were infested with fleas. Little children spend a lot of time sitting or rolling around, playing on the floor...

We had something similar with our toddler. It turned out to be eczema that was becoming infected with a staph infection. The following regime worked for us:
Antibacterial wash every day no baths showers only, 3 times a day moisturiser. Fucidel cream for 3 weeks.
The above was from our GP, after several visits. This did the trick, after other regimes did nothing/very little.

This was on her bottom, but spots look similar to what you’ve posted.

I’ve enquired about this but no one else in nursery seems to be getting them!

Edited

How many months / weeks did it go on for? Pharmacist, GP and ANP have all said because she’s fine in herself to just wait it out but the seem to be getting worse weekly as opposed to better

It has wooden floors and no other children are getting the spots apparently 😖 I’m wondering if she’s just extra sensitive to something

Thank you! Will ask the dr about this!

Could it be Molluscum contagiosum ( water warts) ?

they can become quite sore and itchy, they can get a white head that when scratched off spreads to another area. All of my children have had them . My two boys had very mild cases, and did not go red or sore. My daughter however, it was awful- she had hundreds and all very angry looking. We went to the doctors who diagnosed them, but also said it could take between 12 months and four years to run its course. She was covered in plasters bless her to try and stop her spreading. Ended up at a Chinese herbalist who gave us a herbal bath treatment which cleared it all up in two weeks. 🙌….this was our experience and may not be what’s causing your issue , but maybe something to consider . Hope you can get it sorted

Sorry just re-read original post and you have ruled out molluscum 👍

Hard to tell, though they do look quite like flea bites to me.
