Took baby to drs

I took my four-month-old baby to the doctor today because he has the sniffles and is congested. He also vomited after one feed last night, which made me worry.

Since birth, doctors suspected he might have a condition, but everything has seemed clear since then. We’re still waiting to do the genetic test, but my partner hasn’t decided about it yet.

The doctor said my baby looks fine when examining him, but after looking at his records it made him think twice. Because of that, he referred us to A&E to repeat the blood test.

The problem is he has already had this test before, and the results came back incorrect. He also had to go through a lot of pain with needles in his hands, and he’s still so small.

I’m unsure what to do. Should I take him to A&E even though the doctor said he looks fine, just to be on the safe side?

I’d take my baby to A&E if a Dr told me to.

I’d also speak to my partner about the genetic test.

You sought medical advice from a doctor and they told you to go to hospital, so that’s what you should do. If you were making choices for yourself as a consenting adult then it would be different, but if you are told to seek further help for a small baby with a possible undiagnosed medical condition, then that’s what you should do.

I can’t believe I’ve read this, get your kid to A&E and have a word with yourself, get your kid checked for what ever condition he may be at risk off. Have a word with yourself
