Can anyone help please. My son has had these pots on his chin and round his nose area only one side of his face. I thought it was impetigo but he’s been given

flucidin cream
trimovate
bactroban

none have done anything but it seems to go down some days then flare up on others. Been over a month now

doctors just say try the creams but they don’t know what it is.. any advice?

doesn’t seem to bother him, sometimes he itches it slightly but 99% of the time he wouldnt know it’s there

Could it be eczema, DD had similar type rash on her face when younger. Gp initially said impetigo, but treatment for that didn't clear it up.

It coming and going would fit with something like eczema as well.

I think possibly molluscum contagiosum

For my dd doctor tried to say it was warts but it got worse and was bleeding and the clusters grew. So I insisted on dermatolgist referral. Doc took a pic and sent to dermatology.

In less than a week a dermatologist had came back to my doc. Saying it was molluscum contagiosum, her own child had it and to purchase molludab, which is not available on the nhs but cost about £25 for a very small bottle which lasts one month

We went through 2-3 bottles but the infection had spread a lot by then but it did clear up.

I cant say 100% what it is from the pic but it looks like it to me.

Best wishes x
