Child’s stutter

My just turned three year old girl has developed a slight stutter.

we have noticed this at the start of sentences and when she uses questions , why what where specifically.

shes never had this before I’ve read that it can occur in children their age. We never had this with her older brother. Has anyone’s child ever grown out of a stutter. Is it a case of monitoring now or contacting heath visitor or gp

thankyou

My son had this. He seemed to have it when he had a lot to say and couldn’t quite get it out fast enough. It was also at the start of sentences.

We kept an eye on it and would always sit and listen to him until he finished speaking, so as not to make him feel too rushed or conscious of it.

His stutter has stopped now. I would keep an eye on it and go from there. Our son had a bit of a speech delay in any case so he was having speech and language therapy, but the stutter wasn’t part of it and it did pass.
