Norovirus?

Hi,
I suspect my girl (17m old) had a norovirus, she was vomiting and had a couple of bad nappies. It was strange at the start as she was vomiting only at night for the first few days. Then she while ger sick during the day as well. She was checked by GP and at OOH. They checked her urine too. She cleared up and then I caught the same bug which I then passed to my husband. After a week of being fine my daughter started vomiting again. Is it possible she got sick again and my husband passed it back to her? I read young toddlers don't have immunity but I thought she was protected for at least a few weeks? What else should I consider? We are going to the GP again but they never do much if there is no fever and other symptoms. She vomits at night again. I tried raising her head but didnt help.

Does she have a cough? Sometimes mine vomit if they have a cough (doesn't have to be particularly bad). We also regularly have vomiting bugs that last a few days, go for a few days, and then reappear - my best guess is that as soon as their appetite comes back they eat more but there is still some inflammation and their guts just aren't ready for normal food.
It doesn't sound bad enough for noro though, just a normal bug.

Thanks for this because I have been worried.
No cough and no fever. She was fine for a week and now a week later she started vomiting again. Did you also see it mostly at night?

Yep, usually around 5pm until midnight. Then fine!! And I'd think we were over it, and then a few days later it would happen again! Very annoying!

It's always 1 and 4 am for us and I started worrying that it has to do with my milk. I see you replied under my other thread about sleeping so you know I breastfeed each time she wakes and I worried she gets too much milk (even though she doesnt always feed but latches on) or she developed intolerance. I just couldnt figure out the sickness at night as it felt odd she is fine during the day and 2 GPs now didn't give me any clue

I'd say it's much more likely she's got a bug as like you say, she's mostly having a few sucks for comfort. Also at her age she'll be able to take quite a lot on board without being sick and an intolerance would lead to being sick at other times I would have thought? It's stressful but I'd give it a week and see what's happening x

I think what you're saying it's very logical and this is what have been saying to myself as well but cant stop worrying that I have missed something. Christmas is coming up and I have a sick child that never sleeps .... and a family staying over

Oh I feel you!! It's not ideal at all 😭 but I think, if it was someone else's child, you'd probably be much more logical about it than when it's yours and you're knackered and overwhelmed. X

The GP said it is likely she recaught the virus or caught another bug and to wait. They won't investigate as no fever. I hope this nightmare will end soon...
