Nope it isn’t.

Think of the 24 period being 8pm until 7:59pm. He got 4 doses. No issue at all.

Come off it. It's fine. What an inflammatory title for a post.

Hope DS feels better soon and you get some rest to stop fretting.

You have more than 6 hours between doses the half life in healthy people is 8 hours on average so I personally wouldn’t worry about your doses and timing however, I am not a Dr either. Just a Mum who had to use calpol a lot as my DC was preterm and their fevers spiked a lot.

What is wrong with him? Why are you giving him Calpol?

My DC was preterm and their hypothalamus wasn’t properly developed so regulating their own body temperature for the first 4 years of their life was problematic if they got a virus. The NICU consultant told us to alternate between calpol and ibuprofen.

Bournetilly · 17/11/2025 06:04

It’s fine, the 24 hours is resetting at 8pm.

Devilsmommy · 17/11/2025 06:06

No you only did 4. Even if you'd done 5 it's not really that big a deal. It's Calpol not morphine

LoveForTheAnimals · 17/11/2025 06:06

No you haven’t, you’re fine. The 8pm Sunday dose was the start of the next 24 hours so it’s all good. Hope your son is better soon.

Seawolves · 17/11/2025 06:19

You haven't done anything wrong, there's no overdosing, you can give it at 4-6 hourly intervals provided you only give four doses a day. Hope he feels better soon.

Be a little kinder please. The OP clearly hasn't slept much and was worried. Most of us with young DC have been there. There's no need to tick her off like that.
