Very anxious here :-(
My daughter has a lump in her neck behind her ear that I noticed when she was about 4 weeks old (she’s 7 months now)
Checked twice by the same doctor, who said in her opinion it is a lymph node. It’s growing very rapidly & another has come up next to it… but she says it’s ‘small’. On our last visit she said she would request a referal for an ultrasound but today I received an email to say it has been rejected by the paed team due to the ‘nature of the referal’…
I would assume this is because my daughter is a picture of health, 50% percentile. Happy, smiley, meeting all milestones if not advanced! Crawling & standing by 5 months. Eating well & enjoying solids. She’s had no illnesses, no colds, no temperatures ever.
I guess I’m seeking reassurance that other mums have noticed lumps that are nothing… Should I push harder? Even without other symptoms? I’m ruminating about it 24/7 and was so desperate for the scan & now I feel they are just pretending it doesn’t exist- maybe I should take that as a good thing?! Help mamas!
