I’ve spoken to the pharmacist on Friday who said to contact the GP on Monday if this is still happening.
Im wondering if this has happened to anyone else’s little ones as I’m feeling abit anxious.
My 2 year old daughter still breastfeeds, I’ve just finished a 10 day course of pen v for tonsiltiis.
Earlier this week my daughter started with abit of loose stool, I assumed at first this was due to me having antibiotics.
On Wednesday night she had a bout of very smelly diarrhoea, this carried on Thursday and Friday. On Friday I spoke to a very helpful pharmacist who also checked with his senior, they didn’t think that the antibiotic via my milk could cause something worrying like c diff and it sounded like a little tummy bug. They said to contact the gp on Monday if she still had it. She’s had 5 lots of poos this morning, not as watery but still loose. She’s acting normally, eating and drinking. And weeing.
I’m worried because we’re on day 4 and she’s still going 😭

You say that she is acting normally, eating, drinking etc, and that also her stools are improving.

So I wouldn’t be worried. She clearly isn’t unwell, and is recovering.

Norovirus (and other stomach bugs) are currently doing the rounds. It won't be your antibiotics.

My 2yo had diarrhoea all last week. She was otherwise fine so it didn't worry me at all TBH. They get diarrhoea sometimes. Considering the things she puts in her mouth, I'm surprised she doesn't have it more often

Don’t worry as long as she is taking plenty of fluids. Dehydration is the risk here. Take her to GP on Monday if no better

This.

One of mine had a bug for a week until it cleared up.
