Is this part of a tooth stuck in toddlers lip?!

Wasn’t sure where to post this, however I’m just seeking some advice or similar experiences!
My toddler, 15 months, had a fall last night and took the full impact on his mouth! Instant screaming and lots of blood. I could see instantly that his front left tooth had become misaligned from the rest of them and his upper lip took quite a bashing. A call to 111 for advice and sent to a&e where they checked him over- no concerns and sent me on my way. I’ve got him a dentist appointment first thing for tomorrow morning.. this afternoon I’ve tried to take another look in his mouth and have noticed a white object protruding from his lip! This was not picked up at the a&e, for the life of me he won’t let me get in there to have a feel of it and I can’t find anything online as to what it could be other than a tooth fragment- although I can’t see any obvious signs of broken/chipped teeth. What could it be? Do I wait for the dentist appointment tomorrow morning or do I try for an emergency dental appointment this evening!?
I’m heartbroken that he’s suffering is teeth have been damaged, but I don’t want to risk infection or anything else! He’s obviously a bit grumpy, he’s back on only soft foods and milk as he can’t eat anything remotely firm, he refuses, but other than that he’s ok in himself.

To me it looks like it’s an ulcer where they have broken the skin. Could that be it?

A bit of bonjela could make it more comfortable for eating. Mouths heal quickly.

Agree with ulcer

Is it hard? It looks more like an ulcer/trauma wound. They go white when healing in the mouth. If no teeth are broken it can't be a tooth?

It's an ulcer, a warm salt water rinse will really help.
