So dd is 2.5. This all started 3 weeks ago with vomiting every other night and no pooing for 5 days. Went to see out of hours gp after 5 days of vomiting was diagnosed constipated and sent away with movicol. Then started pooping. After 10 days vomiting went to A&E given x ray constipation confirmed told to do disempaction with movicol.
we did this and got some very wet stools - was advised by gp to start weaning down movicol after wet stools.
we did this and last two days dd has been on one sachet a day and pooing fine (soft and lots of volume).

randomly tonight woke up and vomited bile.

Im at a loss. Surely the vomit is not caused by constipation anymore as so much poo has come out over the last 12 days and she had a huge poo just before bed. Her last vomit was 11 days ago.

since being on movicol she is complaining of being hungry all the time.

the vomit was just bile so she was completely empty - probably not an allergy I guess?

maybe reflux? The vomiting since all this started has only ever been at night.

It’s just so weird. When she vomits she wakes complains of tummy ache and then has like loads of spasms gagging and eventually bile comes up.

I don’t want to write it off as just another bug as this seems to be like a cycle of some sort.

Has anyone else gone through weird night bile vomiting on and off?

This is very complicated
even if you poo everyday, the blockage can still be inside. We learned the hard way, the soft poo can pass the blockage and make you think the child is fine and not constipated. You need to up movicol to maximum dose till he poo brown rusty water and then u decrease two sachet every three days and you stay in maintaince for 3 months. Disimpaction can take from 7 days to weeks so you need patience

My child get reflux, vomiting and off his food and annoyed when impacted. He will have bellyache too in his bellybutton

My middle son did this. Turned out it was a lactose intolerance. Sometimes it would take two days after accidentally, leaving lactose for him to be sick.
We could manage it through lactase tablets available in Holland and Barret.

@Mumboyboygirl @zazazaaar

thank you for your replies. The Gp sent us to A&E. Because a fever was present they said it was a tummy bug and sent us away. She hasnt been sick since that once when I posted and has opened her bowels this morning. Last night she was crying with tummy ache on and off during the night.

im just at a loss. I’m going to call Eric when it opens.

anyone else been through anything like thus?
im so consumed with worry.
