Hi, bit of background firstly, my daughter developed a metopic ridge around 3 month old so we are under a Pediatrician until she’s two.

she’s just turned 15 months old and I can’t stop worrying about her speech. She says mama, oh ho, b-bye and that’s it.
she does babble but she’s mainly just says baba all the time.

she can, clap, wave, blow kisses, touch her head when asked and show me her tongue when asked, will play peek-a-boo and shows me how big she is.

when I call her name she responds 25% of the time, it’s better if we are in a room with no noise when I speaking to her but I feel like sometimes I’m talking to her and she’s completely absent.

i have noticed some hand flapping, walking backwards and swinging her arms
again not sure If it’s just normal toddler behaviour

seriously am I been paranoid because the pediatrician has told me all the things to watch out for that maybe I’m looking for problems, does my 15 month old just sound like a 15 month old or do you think there could be an issue?

I would be getting her hearing checked out. Although glue ear comes and goes.

That sounds completely normal to me. She's still very young.

Does not seem overly concerning but Ask the paediatrician at next check up .check hearing.
Use makaton and photos visuals to back up speech .

I can’t speak on the subject of the metopic ridge. But her development sounds to me to be right on track age wise. My 18 month old is very similar milestone wise. As far as the hand flapping, walking backwards and arm swinging goes, that can be normal toddler behaviour too so I honestly wouldn’t sweat it. Just keep an eye her and if you feel something isn’t right ina few months then re evaluate. But in my opinion it all sounds perfectly normal.

There's such huge variation - get a hearing test to make sure, but this describes my son (we got him a hearing test around 2, he had other minor health issues). His little sister was speaking sentences at the same age, while he was stuck on mama, crispies and milk. There was a lot of frustration from him which was obviously because he couldn't communicate. Both of mine have/are flappers, both extremely bright, I wouldn't worry overly yet.
