We discovered worms in ds (2 years old, potty trained) poo on Saturday so treated the household with ovex. Today, 4 days later there was still a wriggling, live worm on his poo. The plan from the pharmacist is to treat again in 2 weeks, but should I check see if I can do it sooner. None of the rest of us have any symptoms , ds had an itchy bum but nothing too upsetting. And I've not dug through anyone else's poo.

We changed all the sheets on Saturday, fresh PJ's every day. Hoovered, washed at 60 and got the iron out which I only normally use for hamma beads. And washed DS every morning. But I struggle to keep up with housework as it is, without too much extra. I feel we should be washong sheets more but we have no tumble dryer and the weather today is not good for hanging outside. Monday was lovely but unfortunately we were too busy.

Hi,how did you get on with this? Currently going through second bout after two years & it sends me into an egg panic.

Alwayslearning25 · 28/03/2026 12:33

The two dose treatment for all the family worked and they've not come back. He's also had a growth spurt since. Probably coincidence.

Thanks for the reply. Glad you managed to get rid of them.

Good luck, it's horrible to think of all the eggs in soft furnishings and under nails.
