Whilst strictly not a child’s health question, it could be…

dd 10, has size 13/1 (uk sizing) feet. She’s about average maybe a little above height and build so not small for her age but her feet seem to be! She says she has the smallest feet in the class - I guess they compare!

what size were your girls at 10. Also did when did their feet stop growing?

I have large feet for a female (7/8) so she doesn’t get it from however my partner her dad is only a size 7 which is small for a man I guess.

to add she does have some issues including hyper mobility and low muscle tone, she can be clumsy and has spatial awareness issues but I don’t think that her shoe size is responsible for her spatial awareness issue. I was told that her feet will grow rapidly when her flat feet corrected - which they have but no rapid growth, if anything quite slow growth (means I don’t have to spend out shoes too often 😂)

She is seeing an OT for a dcd (dyspraxia) assessment in the next few weeks so I plan to ask about her height to shoe size ratio as obviously smaller size feet often mean a child is also pretty petite. Length wise she’s in 12/13 and even 13/14 clothing.

Very similar here - I'm a size 8, and DP (male) is a 7. DD at age 9 is just in size 13. She's average height, but with comparatively small feet.

The answer is it depends, everyone is different. I believe that feet stop growing mid to late teens. But everyone is different, andre the giant didnt stop growing.

My daughter is 13 and a size9.5uk. She s always been the tallest with larger feet so cute shoes were always a little difficult to find. We run out of options when she was 9/10 ( last year of primary) - Clarks only had one pair of boots. At 10 and 11, you are still running around the playground. Now she wears lots of sneakers and dont have much options for teens her size. For us it is frustrating, for her it is life until she wants/needs a pair. So I'm now working on something to help other parents like us and their girls. We are starting UK 6 up.
