Im not talking about insurance. I have a health matter and tried to get help from GP u was basically fobbed off, so now I am considering seeking a private medical consultation as a one off. My GP us usually good but not over this matter.

What is it you’re asking us for advice on? You can book to see a private GP - Google to find ones in your area.

Alternatively ask to see a different doctor at your local practice for a second opinion? Cheaper for you too!

A private GP at my local hospital is £120 for 20 minutes

What are you asking? £120 for a private GP appointment sounds about correct.

A private appointment might be entirely appropriate. Is there a question?

Ok… so what is your post about? I don’t know how we can respond without understanding the issue or question!

Ahh! I've looked at the original post before editing. OP was originally asking if it was worth doing as a one off consultation, but strangely deleted this from their post.

It depends on the issue you have. If it will require testing, a follow up, specialist referral, maybe not if you can't afford to continue. If it is something they can diagnose on the spot, maybe. If you will require a prescription, you will have to pay for this privately too, which is likely to cost a lot more than an NHS prescription.
