Toddler Drinking Alot?

My 2yo has recently started to drink a lot, I'd say around 6 cups a day and I'm worried he's drinking too much? Usually made up of 4 cups of very diluted squash, 1 cup of juice or smoothie and a cup of milk

Apparently the average is 2-4 cups a day for his age but I'm concerned 6 is alot or am I just over thinking...

Stop giving him juice/squash and smoothies, they're terrible for teeth (yes even the sugar free ones). Water or milk only at this age for daily drinks, the odd juice won't hurt but sweet drinks really shouldn't be given 5 times a day to a toddler!

Just have water available at all times.

Sorry tried to edit and it won't appear so adding this to day, if only water/milk is on offer he is more likely to drink to his actual thirst than because the drinks are so tasty. Excessive drinking can be a sign of diabetes but I don't think 6 toddler cups a day (I assume you mean a toddler cup not an adult sized mug) is excessive amounts if it's water/milk.

Yes, I think I'll try that with just the water. We went through a phase.of not drinking anything so I think I've gotten into a habit of just trying to get him to drink something rather than nothing

You are giving squash which is a diuretic and then wondering why they are drinking more, stop the swash and juice, just milk or water unless you want them to have rotten teeth.

Of course he wants squash and juice , they're sugary!

Give water and see if he's still thirsty.

Also, keep in mind he'll obviously drink more when it is hot
