My 14 year old daughter went to opticians and her vision was perfect 20/20 vision but her eyes are sometimes blurry the optician did the peripheral vision test and she failed this 3 times she has now been urgently referred to the eye clinic? Has anyone else child had this? She has got lots of other symptoms I am just worried about this thanks

Has she been referred to an ophthalmologist? How soon will she be seen? I'd want her seen asap. (Mother of son who had similar issues & it turned out to be serious... but not to alarm you) What other symptoms?

Hi yes she's been referred to eye clinic at hospital I rang them yesterday and they said they are putting her to top of triage list (which made me panic more), she has lots of other symptoms and is due to have a MRI in a few weeks on head and back, she has headaches, fatigue, mottled skin, stomach and back pain, she has Irlens as well so eyes go blurry sometimes and she has to repeat blood pressure lying down and sitting test, low vitamin d can I ask what happened with your son?

Don't panic but advocate for the MRI to be sooner. If she worsens just take her straight to the hospital. I am not a good person to be commenting here because our experience was one of the one in a million cases. We were told peripheral vision loss, which my son had, could indicate a problem in the optic chiasm, where the optic nerves cross over. He had a pituitary tumour. This was 10+ years ago now and he's doing very well. His initial symptoms were a head shake & the peripheral vision loss. Headaches came later.

With these kind of symptoms you don't want to wait around.
Here's some guidance from the Brain Tumour Charity which you may find useful when trying to push for an earlier scan.
