Hi,
DD8 has been having some tummy issues this past week.
After eating and sometimes drinking she gets a bloated tummy, that’s quite hard and says her tummy hurts.
She says no trouble going to the toilet, no being sick but sometimes feels like she might be.
I don’t really know what I should be doing about it, keeping a food diary and then making a doctors appointment? Otherwise she is quite happy and no other issues.
Any ideas what could be wrong? It doesn’t specifically seem to be any particular type of food. Even a cold drink from a supermarket fridge caused it to happen yesterday.

Book a doctors appointment!

Did you really need to question if that’s what you should do or did a misunderstand you?

I used to get this at her age. GP called it growing pains. It was always weekend and summer holidays when I was much more physically active. But god it hurts

The problem is it could be more serious than that, Id go to the gp

You have definitely misunderstood because op has said she is going to book a gp appointment.

Op good idea to keep a good diary because the gp will be asking about foods your daughter is eating when this happens.
Even though your daughter doesn’t have any other symptoms it is best not to leave it too long in booking in with the gp.

Hope you get it sorted.

Yes I am arranging an appointment. I just wasn’t sure if I should be recording what she eats and drinks, or whether I should be eliminating anything from her diet.
Notebook at the ready then.
