Hi everyone!

I’m a parent working on an idea for a reusable, eco‑friendly oral syringe with a soft silicone tip to make giving daily liquid meds to kids easier and more comfortable.

I’m at the early stages and would really value your feedback.

If happy please comment and I can upload the questions x

My baby is on a few different daily medications and my sustainable environment head is crying inside, I did look for more durable long lasting alternatives that would be more sustainable.

But to be honest we get our syringes free right now and they aren't the best and the markings do rub off, but between doing therapies with my child, working full time and trying to take them to many different appointments and keep up with everything, I've really stopped caring.
I just bin them and get a new one from the packet.

Maybe your target market is someone a lot more seasoned and with more brain space than I have, but right now I actually don't care about the plastic waste, I just care about the medication going in.

Fantastic! Yes, the syringe not reaching the bottom of the bottle is useful and absolutely a common problem.

I would like to gather as much real life feedback to ensure the product meets people's needs.

how does customisation sound- something to appeal to kids and make if feel more personal

Hi @Nitofirst this for us was a big thing, dc2 (baby) has health issues so on daily prophylactic antibiotics, has allergy issues do needs piriton constantly. And calpol/brufen all liquid.
Last thing want is 3am issues when trying to make kit work!

@Tiredmumma221 I get it and I appreciate your honesty with how hard things! You're amazing and everything you do just shows how impactful you are in your families lives.

I want to be the person who has the capacity to fix the problem- all I need to know is that there is an audience out there who care as much as I do.

This product was born from my own experience. My son is on daily medications for his heart and we have gone through so many syringes. Most oral syringes cannot be recycled so I want to try and create a product that can reduce the need to obtain so many.

I understand that this isn't something that will replace single use oral syringes and it shouldn't they are necessary in some cases but for mamas like me and you and so many on this thread we can take a different approach.

Thank you again for taking the time to share this is really appreciated

@CaptainFuture Thank you too the more realistic experiences I get help with developing the prototype
