We're going on holiday (by boat) and have a 7 year old and a 5 year 8 month year old. in case we need to give paracetamol for some reason I was wondering whether to take calpol fast melts, but they say 6+. Do you think 4 months makes much difference in terms of dosage?

It all depends on weight really, rather than age - that's just a guide. As long as she's not small for her age you'll be fine.

It's about body volume mostly. Is your 5yo already of a similar suze to most 6yos or are they small for their age?

You can snap a fastmelt in half and just give half if you want to err on the safe side.

You can buy calpol sachets so no need to take the glass bottle, if that’s what you’re trying to avoid.

Ah okay thanks, I will weigh her and check, she is tall so hopefully 🤞
