Recurring cough in toddler - Help!

Ever since I can remember my now 2 year old DD has suffered with a recurring cough every 2-3 week. We have had numerous Dr’s appointments and she has both the blue and brown inhaler (brown we have been giving daily for around a month). She has yet another cough currently which is constant, waking us all up at night and leaving her unsettled, sneezing also.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and is anyone else’s toddlers suffering with regular coughs this often?

Dd1 was like this and has asthma. What would kick her off is any illness so any sign of a cold and she'd be coughing away but dust and pollen make it worse so maybe look to reduce those. She is growing out of the awful coughing phase though and the blue inhaler does now help

Just to add though that's it's awful as it keeps you up at night doesn't it 😩😩

When did she start to grow out of the constant coughs? And did you ever give her anything for allergy’s? I’m starting to think it could be anything but asthma

I’d be trying antihistamine.
And the brown inhaler should be used every single day, not just when there’s a flare up.

My son was the same and they said asthma. Same with the inhalers too. Was much worse at night. Went on for years. Finally diagnosed with GORD at 12. Has no other symptoms. Might be worth asking.

Edited

We have been giving this twice daily

Could it be hay fever causing post nasal drip? My 3YO DS is asthmatic too. Normally he’s fine but when he has a hay fever flare up
he gets a cough. Maybe try piriton?

She defiantly started to get better around 5 ish and now she's 8 and she's more or less out grown the cough but she's left with more the wheezy ness
