I’ve just noticed this on my 10 year olds toe…he says it doesn’t hurt. It’s not hot (and neither is he) he’s currently kicking a ball around so he’s clearly not that bothered by it but I am! Would a trip to the pharmacist tomorrow be enough? Why do you only ever see these things at night 🤦🏼‍♀️

so we are on day 5 of the antibiotic cream- it looks quite a bit better to me? He’s still really not bothered by it. We fly to Spain tomorrow and I can’t transport the oral antibiotics they gave me as they need to be kept at 2 degrees temp at all times and the airline won’t do that. Based on this do you reckon I’m ok to just keep going with the cream?

if you haven’t finished the course of antibiotics you should do so.

Take the oral meds in a cool bag with a freezer block. How many days are left on them?

Are you doing saline soaks as well as the cream and oral ABs? You should. Saline soak and a wipe with a tissue to clear the gunk.

We haven’t started them. The doc said to try and avoid unless it didn’t start getting better and he took a turn for the worse

If it’s looking better then I wouldn’t worry. Just follow advice given by the GP. Hope he’s better soon.
