Hey! Is there a reason you don’t want to give him more food either at, or between meals?

Elisheva · 07/07/2025 22:57

He’s not stealing your food because he’s hungry, it’s because babies explore and experience new things with their mouths.

Tinseltotties · 07/07/2025 23:02

Babies are interested in food and textures and play. They learn by copying and exploring with you, so if you’re eating they want to try. It’s good to share family meals anyway so they get used to your food and they can eat the same as you (with a few adjustments)

If you’re certain they really are hungry though can’t you just share a bit of your food? Or offer some high protein and filling foods like Greek yogurt, porridge, some chicken breast etc. or larger meals?

He gets snacks between meals and his currently on my food baby food never filled him up so his currently getting enough but his always hungry I’m just not sure what else to feed him

What’s making you think he’s hungry? They grab and put everything in their mouths. Edible or not 😂

Is he crying? And I mean really crying. Inconsolable scream crying. Because a hungry baby will not be distracted or consoled. They will literally scream continuously. Even on walks. Even in a car journey. Even when you pick them up and distract them.

If it’s mild grumbles. Cries which stop (even momentary stopping) when you pick them up, or do a thing they like - like pram walk. Then they aren’t hungry.

At 7 months he should only be having two meals a day. Food is much lower calories than milk by volume so he probably his hungry.

If he is finishing is bottles then you need to offer more milk.

Yes but what amounts of food
That is what is important and what kind of food?

PoopingAllTheWay · 08/07/2025 18:46

3 meals and snacks at 7 months? When did you start weaning him?

How much milk is he having in 24 hours?

Tinseltotties · 08/07/2025 22:04

3 meals and 2 snacks does seem a bit much at 7m? I think it’s no snacks until 12m so they get enough calories from milk. When you’re saying meals and snacks can you say specifically what you mean. Like what food is he eating and how much of it, how much milk is he having. Has he always been like this or is this new? How big is he?

Sayshesheshe · 08/07/2025 22:06

From your description it sounds like he’s only having 3 bottles a day, is that right?

PoopingAllTheWay · 10/07/2025 04:11

How many ounces is he having of formula milk? A 7 month old shouldnt really be having snacks

We can not help you unless you give us specif amounts of milk and portion size of food and tell us what kind of snacks he is eating
