At what temp to take baby to hospital?

Had his 4 month jabs earlier and current temp of 38degrees. Feeding and wet nappy’s as usual..

I did ask the nurse when he had them but she just said any temp upto 48hrs after is just from jabs so If it continues 48hrs after then follow normal high temp procedure. But surely a temp is a temp?

@Mumoftwo2022 honestly mind boggled how your a mother yet being nasty to another, also mind boggled how you appear to have never been nervous or needed reassurance with anything to do with your kids. Well done you!👏🏽🙄

@feelingbleh correct, I don’t have any family I can speak too hence why double checking here after healthcare professionals saying different things when asking at all 3 of his jabs. Shoot me for wanting to double check and keep my son safe hey!

Sometimes people need a reality check. She was told to expect a temp but asking when to go to hospital. Seemed like a troll post with how ridiculous it sounds.
I’ve had many times where I’ve need reassurance but for actual serious things not a temp of 38 after injections

I can’t tell if you’re being facetious but for the benefit of doubt, that’s a really dangerous temp

There's no fever-temperature that's "dangerous" in itself - all context dependent (eg including age and what other signs of illness there are to increase concerns that something more serious than standard viral infection is going on).

No not in the circumstances. Give calpol and keep baby cool with damp cloths wiping him down and just a nappy in this weather.
