Noises in my DD head are 'too loud'

Hi. My first time posting on here but just wondering if anyone else's children have experienced this?
My DD is on day 7 of a stomach bug (she seemed to be improving over weekend then went down hill again Monday with fever again).
On Tuesday she woke up from a nap crying saying the noises in her head were too loud and she can't sleep. She did same thing last night and again a couple of times today, also saying that her bed feels too big. It seems such an odd symptom and not sure if it could be a sign of some sort of ear infection/problem? We're due to go back to gp tomorrow, but just thought I'd see if anyone else's child (or themselves) have experienced this as part of an illness and have any idea what it could be?
Thanks

I think I had this as a child, I can remember it now. Does she have a temperature mine would always be bad if I was hot with a cold/virus

I used to get this too. When I was ill mostly - flu. Was usually random voices shouting in my head. Never really figured out what it was though. I once had it, got out of bed to tell my parents and fainted on the way to their room. Doctors said I may have been dehydrated. No idea what was going on!

I would definitely get her checked out for a secondary infection with fever coming back up again after she was starting to improve. The noises in the head and bed feeling too big could be delirium related to the fever.

Covid is still around though and does have gastro symptoms, but also migraines and neurological symptoms and often you get rebound fever symptoms after starting to get better, so it might just be she needs a little longer to recover.

If she gets worse and you are worried before your GP appointment tomorrow phone 111.

Thanks guys. Interesting to hear other people have experienced it. She has had a a fever so guess that must be what it is.
