Chicken Pox or Mosquito Bites

Have have 2 small DC 1 is 8months the other is nearly 4. We have just been abroad to a tropical rain forest country. So been in 2 airports and planes and met loads of new people and children. Been in crowded places.

I assumed DC1 had mosquito bites. BUT only suspected Chicken pox on our return as he had other symptoms loss of apetitie, emotional, sensitive, complaining of fweling unwell. I thought new foods, enviorment and jet lag all meant he was a bit extra sensitive.
But a few days after DC1 got all these "bites" DC2 got loads all at once. Also DC1 is darker skin tone and DC2 is very pale so it looked so different. DC1 scratched at the spots until they burst and crusted over and then picked it these. I applied sudacream but DC1 always scratched when I wasnt looking or nearby. DC2 to young to scratch and has blisters and burst spots on the face. DC2 has about 30 bites/spots all on face, arms, lower legs and bottoms of the feet. No fever. But is clingy and much more sensitive.
Has been 10 days DC1 has scars and healing spots. But DC2 has some new blisters / bites and some that are healing.

My DM is the one who said omg this is chicken pox me and DH thought it was pox.
BIL who is medical staff said Virus potentially Pox.

Nit sure what to do. Should I get them seen to by our GP to rule it out?

Mosquito bites don't burst. This is chicken pox.

If they’ve blistered, burst and crusted over then that sounds like CP.

And the number of them and placement say CP. They need to stay at home until all the spots have crusted over.

I'd take some photos and go to a pharmacy, without the children! Show the pics to the pharmacist and ask what creams/lotions you can use. You used to get a calamine with lignocaine in it which helps soothe and relieve some of the itching. You must try to avoid them scratching them- because that can lead to scarring. Obviously paracetamol and/or ibuprofen to help the irritability too.
