Podiatry advice needed!

My son is 4 years old.

When he was born, the doctor who did his newborn checks the following morning noted his toes were curled under and said he will probably need physiotherapy at some point. It was all so fast and he had an infection and jaundice so the toes rather took a back seat.

I asked the midwives, HV and our own doctor at later dates and they all said the toes would straighten out when he started walking.

This has happened to all bar one (the toe next to his little toe on one foot)

Before I seek professional advice I just wanted to ask if anyone is a podiatry expert and can advise if its worth booking an appointment with a podiatrist at all - or whether it isn't something either to worry about or wouldn't have a solution anyway and he'll just live it with!

Thanks in advance.

Not a podiatry expert but I had this as a child and I ended up having an operation to have my tendons on the affected toes cut so they straightened. They are now back where they were (I believe) so wasn't really worth it.
However from my healthcare professional brain I would say- if it isn't affecting his comfort/skin/mobility or footwear then it doesn't seem worth paying to see someone.
If it does end up doing that then first port of call is GP.

Almost all of my toes look like that and it hasn’t caused me any issues (in my 30s) I don’t think it was a thing back in the day that medics or parents cared about sadly!

one of my sons toes is like this (1 out of all 10) and we just call it his magic toe
