Threadworms!

This is not the first time we have had worms in the house but usually there has only been a few and managed to keep on top of it.

Unfortunately my youngest child is a nail biter. In
the last few days my child has had up to 30 worms in each stool! Although big stools. Half dead, half alive.

Gave every one a worming tablet nearly a week ago. No one else has it.

I'm trying to clean, washing bedding at 60c and clothes. Washing his bottom every morning when he gets up. Ensuring he is washing his hands as well.

I feel deflated! I can't give him any more medicine until next week!

I have never seen so many worms. Had anyone got any advice? I want to cry I am exhausted.

It's really awful isn't it? I got them from my dc too 🤢 just keep up the great hygiene (showers not baths) and hand washing and nail cutting etc. Plus frequent sheet/pillow/cover changes, maybe every day for 3 days or so then every other day for a week or two.

The eggs hatch in 2 weeks, so you may need to re-worm your ds then. Plus keep up the washing and good hygiene. Ensure he has fresh underwear on every day so no worms can escape via pyjamas etc, as they are more active at night. I also used lots of antibacterial spray/wipes on doorhandles, the toilet, the potty and other surfaces! Went a bit wild tbh but it did the trick!

I feel for you. It's apparently very normal to get them, but so horrible.
