Hi, has anyone had children with Strawberry spots (haemangiomas)?
If so did it get treated? My baby has one on her head and I would love advice on it

My dd had one that grew to the size of a raspberry on her head and one the size of a pea on her nose and one on her eyelid , 7 birth marks in total

all faded by 3
no sign of them at all now ( 13)
not offered any medication

a few upsetting comments made by family and a strangers child, wish I knew they would go away I’d have worried less

My daughter has one in the middle of her forehead which at its largest was about 3cmdiameter, raised by about 1cm and a very dark red. She then also started to develop a second by her eye, so we sought treatment as if that one had grown as large it could have affected her eyesight. We were prescribed Timolol for about 18 months, and had no side effects at all. Initially it just halted the growth, then started to shrink them. The little one is now virtually gone, the one on her forehead is skin-coloured and almost flat but with excess skin where it was previously so raised. She isn't fussed about it at all (she's now 6) but if the skin doesn't flatten out as she grows and it starts to bother her we will take her back for further treatment (apparently it's a minor op closer to cosmetic surgery).

If your daughter's birthmark is starting to become raised, I'd personally seek treatment sooner rather than later.

My daughter had one. Please don't worry OP it will fade over time.
